What's New

Stock-still a bug where an imported image first shows up as blank in OS X ten.11. Stock-still issues with retina displays that could crusade staircase patterns in some vectorized images. Fixed compatibility with OS X 10.eight. Improved error checking and stability. More sensible ranges and defaults for some bitmap and vectorization parameters.

Ratings and Reviews

Much better than I expected

I had an icon in both pdf and tiff formats which I wanted to use as a blueprint for laser cut silver earrings. I tried several other applications including file converters, CAD programs, and image processing programs without success for diverse reasons. I also tried Super Vectorizer, which proved useless for me every bit it provided double traces of all the artwork with a number of defects in each trace. I wasted much fourth dimension trying to right and scale the results. Finally as a last resort I decided to try Image Vectorizer despite its poor rating. I have been very pleased with the results which accept been very clean, authentic, compatible, and scalable. I very much recommend this App for bitmap to dxf conversions.

Actually nifty app! Very tweakable.

I hunted and scoured and tried pretty much all the other costless online and downloadable apps to do this job, and the only i that is actually is whatsoever skilful on a professional person level is this app.

So I got rid of Adobe Illustrator and now use Affinity Designer (brilliant choice, such a better experience, I totally recommend you switch also). The simply trouble with this upgraded vector experience is that Affinity Designer does not currently accept a raster-to-vector engine in information technology (but it is in their up coming features list, FYI).

So yeah $five to fill in the gap of a single feature is kinda lame, just don't be cheap, if you need to make vectors that actually look any good, and so this is it (or keep using Illustrator).

Phenomenal Vector Trace

I work with customers that send me grainy low-res images for engraving and working in Illustrator with the trace program is a hassle for that small job (and resource hungry). Sometimes it crashes and can't handle poor res images. This Image Vectorizer is worth $l in my line of work- I tin pop in a low res logo and it comes out crisp and clean. It takes less than a second and I can very quickly decide if the blurry jpeg I was handed will work without opening a large vector graphics programme. If I accept a high res paradigm with lots of color and particular- I still utilise the larger graphics package simply this has exist a huge timesaver for the iffy and the like shooting fish in a barrel!
